I sit watching the title
on the tv as music plays
It plays melodies
and rhythms that can spell
mood doom in the right light
but mostly
it drives the sullen silence
that can only come with winter
and quiet nights when all slumbers
But for my beer,
I'm am the only thing bubbling along
and the quiet serenade of crickets
but a memory recorded on some
magnetic disk somewhere
magically inspiring thoughts
that are recorded on some
chemical net inside
hooked up to MY internet
